Maureen Graves Persons
I am an artist living in the southern United States. My work is informed by the colors and flora in my daily life. I spend much of my time at the southeastern coast. My home is on the border of the Southern Coastal Plain and the Piedmont Region in Georgia, which is fertile ground for year round blooms and outdoor life. A colorist at heart, I am inspired by beautiful marshes, family time on the water, and everyday life here in the south. Gardening, lingering sunlit evenings, front porches, dogs, family and friends are a constant inspiration. My work is a celebration of the vibrancy of life. I strive to offer my viewer a moment in the beautiful realm of the ordinary that surrounds all of us if we chance to look.
